Thermistor

Definition:

Thermistor is one kind of semi conducting device which is used for measuring temperature. The name comes from thermal resistance. The resistance of the thermistor decrease with increase of temperature. Generally it is made by mixing the semi conducting oxide granules of iron, nickel, cobalt etc. Thermistor is more sensitive than thermometer. With the help of thermistor the temperature from -70°C to 300°C can be measured.
