Define and Describe on Vaccines

Vaccines are the suspensions of pathogenic micro organisms. The micro organisms which are living, half dead or dead are pushed into animal body. They enhance the immunity in the animal both by producing antibody. A vaccination is the injection of a killed or weakened organism that produces immunity in the body against that organism.Thus, vaccines save lives from diseases.

Example:

  • Antidotes for typhoid disease is prepared from the bacterium, -Salmonella typhi.
  • Antidote for poliomyelitis disease is made from the dead virus, – Poliomyelitis
