QS Study

The scientific process which is used to preserve the food, vegetables, fish, meat, fruits etc for a long time in a normal state so that the food value remain constant is called the preservation process. For example, a simple and common method of preserving food is by heating it to some minimum temperature.

Example: Drying, Cooling, Freezing, Boiling, Heating, Salting, Sugaring, Pickling etc.
