Face-to-face conversation is a widely used means of oral communication. It refers to the mutual exchange of information between two or more people by attending in a particular place. Here both the sender and receiver exchange information directly by using oral means. Therefore, they can easily understand the reactions and attitudes of each other with regards to the message they exchanged. This type of communication mainly occurs informally. In this communication, various non verbal cues like gesture, posture, facial expression, eye contract etc are used extensively.

So, face-to-face conversation is an informal discussion through spoken language and words on a particular issue among the people to exchange their views freely and fairly weighs each other. Everyday people exchange their ideas and opinions through Face to face communication whenever they get a chance. It is a widely used technique of oral but informal communication. However, a telephone conversation cannot be termed as face to face conversation, though it is an oral communication.
