Ecological Sociology

Ecology is the scientific study of the interactions between organisms and their environment. Ecology is concerned with the relationships of living things and their environments. It provides a framework by which we can see that all living things are related to others living things and they are all likewise related to their physical environment. In Sociology, Ecology is the study of the relationship and adjustment of human groups to their geographical and social environments. The scope of ecology is huge, and it encompasses all organisms living on Earth and their physical and chemical surroundings. Social ecologists have focused on the community. The ecological factors can more easily and more productively be studied when the community is the unit of observation and study.

The studies are mostly apprehensive with the social relationships of people in relation to the boundaries and opportunities of the urban atmosphere, and in relation to the environment of industry, its locality, and the restrictions it imposes on home and local relationships.
