Conjugation: Conjugation is a type of sexual reproduction in between two adjacent cells of the same filament or in two different filaments by creating conjugation tubes.


Two types of conjugation are found in Spirogyra. such as-

1) Scalariform conjugation: It occurs in between two filaments

2) Lateral conjugation: It occurs in the same filament.





A sexual reproduction/commercial crops: It looks like some plants can be produced asexually, such as grapes that are grafted, or potatoes that can grow from small pieces of the original plant. But they are still looking for a way to asexually reproduce foods such as grains, corn, or rice, which would be able to feed more people.
