(i) Unicellular root hairs are present in the epiblema in which cuticle is absent.

(ii) Cortex is not arranged in different layers.

(iii) Pericycle is single layered.

(iv) Vascular bundle is radical type.

(v) Xylem is exarch type, i.e., Proo-xylem is situated towards the periphery.

(vi) Xylem and phloem bundles are more than six in number.

(vii) Medulla is large and conspicuous.
