Difference between Cell Wall and Plasma Membrane

Difference between Cell wall and Plasma membrane:

Cell wall

Position: It is only found in the plant cell.

Composition: It is a hard, non-living, cellulose made and permeable wall.

Function: It regulates the rigidity, shape and volume of the cell

Layers: It is well organized with three lasers, such as- diaphragm, primary layer and secondary laver.

Plasma membrane

Position: It is found in both plant and animal cells.

Composition: It is a protein and lipid made, living elastic and semi-permeable membrane.

Function: It protects the cell organelles and regulates the movements of different substances.

Layers: Two lipid layers are present in the middle pan while outer and inner two layers are made of protein.
