The characteristics of a plant cell:

(i) Cell wall is made of cellulose or chitin.

(ii) A distinct nucleus is present which is surrounded by a two layered nuclear membrane

(iii) Nucleolus is present

(iv) DNA, RNA and protein are present in chromosome

(v) Chromosomes are usually numerous (more than one) And elongated

(vi) Body cell undergoes mitosis division Mitotic spindle is formed

(vii) Chloroplast is present in photosynthetic cell

(viii) Cell organelles, such as- mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, golgi bodies etc are present in all plant cells

(ix) Intra- cellular cytoplasmic movement is found.
